Summary: Listi is built on a strict 100% offline-first architecture. Your personal shopping lists, aisle preferences, checkoffs, and grocery records stay strictly on your physical device. We do not require accounts, logins, or cloud synchronization.

02 On-Device Data Storage & Privacy
Listi operates on a local-first philosophy designed to ensure maximum privacy and zero latency in poor-reception supermarket environments:

Local SQLite Database: All grocery items, custom store blueprints, aisle sequences, and item checkoffs are stored strictly on your local device. We never transmit your shopping lists to remote servers.

No Mandatory Account Creation: You can use all core features of Listi anonymously without providing an email address, name, or phone number.
03 Device Permissions & Usage

Microphone & Speech Recognition: Used strictly when you tap the 🎙️ dictation button to speak grocery items. Audio is converted to text using the on-device system speech recognizer and is never stored or transmitted by our app.

Vibration & Wake Lock: Used in Live Shop Mode to keep your screen awake while navigating supermarket aisles and provide tactile confirmation on item checkoff.

Notification Listener (Optional): Allows one-tap parsing of grocery lists shared via messaging apps. Text is parsed in volatile memory and discarded immediately.
04 Advertising & Monetization
Listi is supported by non-intrusive banner and completion interstitial advertisements served via Google AdMob. Ad networks may collect anonymous identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA if consented) to prevent repetitive ads and prevent fraud.
UK & European Consent (GDPR / ePrivacy): For users in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland, we present Google's certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) on initial launch. You can update your consent choices anytime via Settings > Privacy & Ad Choices.

06 Data Retention & Deletion
Because all shopping records exist strictly on your device:

Clear Data: You can clear all lists at any time by clearing the application storage in your device settings.

Uninstall: Uninstalling the app permanently purges all local databases from your device.

Listi does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
